Our approach

Some translators think it’s acceptable to translate into a language other than their mother tongue.

This is fraught with risk, and we invariably have to pick up the pieces. Remember, it’s your reputation that will lie in tatters if your business is portrayed in gobbledegook language.

At Impact Words we have one cardinal rule for translation into English. Two ethnic English-speaking translators are assigned to every translation. If either happens to be bi-lingual, then English must be the language in which he or she was educated.

With these prerequisites in place, we follow a strict process:

  • One translates, the other checks and edits
  • Both agree on the changes and further amendments
  • A final read is carried out, sometimes by a third person, which might involve further adjustments.

The more iterations, the more credible and natural the final English becomes.
